Furthermore, a first internet search via the search engine \u201cGoogle\u201d was conducted in German language. The terms \u201cagriculture\u201d, \u201cprison\u201d, \u201cprison farm\u201d, \u201cprison garden\u201d, \u201crural\u201d, \u201ceducation\u201d, \u201csocial inclusion\u201d, \u201cecological inclusion\u201d, \u201cprocessing food\u201d, \u201cfood supply in prisons\u201d, \u201cempowerment\u201d, \u201corganic prison farm\u201d, \u201cprison and inclusion\u201d, \u201cemployability\u201d, \u201clandscape care\u201d, \u201csustainability\u201d, \u201cgreen\/sustainable development\u201d, \u201cwork therapy\u201d, \u201canimal assisted therapy\u201d, \u201cgarden therapy\u201d, \u201cbiodiversity\u201d, \u201cprison kitchen\u201d and \u201cGermany\u201d were put into the search engine at the beginning. In a second round the name of the prisons that were found during the first search round and the term \u201cagriculture\u201d were added in order to being able to find out more detailed information on the respective initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Study of prison types in Germany<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A rough overview over different types of prisons in Germany has been found on Wikipedia. More (scientific) literature could be searched in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Study of the Occupations of Prison Staff and Characteristics of Prisoners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A first internet search was conducted via \u201cGoogle\u201d, and additional information provided by the theses mentioned above was considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Study of Scientific Publications on Social Farming in Prisons in Germany<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some relevant papers were already discovered by Petrarca before the project work of &nbsp;\u201cEcofarms4prisons\u201d started. An additional internet search via \u201cGoogle Scholar\u201d was conducted in German and in English language. The search terms that were entered into the search engine were \u201cprison\u201d, \u201cGermany\u201d, \u201cagriculture\u201d, \u201chorticulture\u201d and\/or \u201clandscape development\u201d.
