Italian partners have different experiences with social agriculture and inmates. Among them, two people are working at the school, a headmistress and a teacher. Both of them currently work in jail, with adults.
Other delegates are a psychologist involved in restorative justice programs, an agronomist specialised in social farming and a biologist working as a volunteer in social gardening with inmates. All of them are very enthusiastic about the project and the meeting confirmed that the Training Mobility experience in Cascais was highly valuable for all Italian delegates involved.
Their feedback highlighted not only the strong organisational quality and the rich learning opportunities offered by the Portuguese hosts, but also the relevance of the visit for strengthening the project’s agricultural and social objectives within correctional facilities. The combination of theoretical instruction, practical fieldwork, and exposure to well-structured, innovative agricultural models—particularly those integrating social impact and long-term planning—provided significant inspiration for project implementation in prison.
